Electric Vehicles (EV) are gaining popularity among Bay Area residents. Because of rising prices on gas-fueled vehicles and gas itself, many people started switching to electric cars. Not only EV electric vehicles are environmental friendly, they are actually cheaper to charge.
Most of the EV electric vehicles are sold with a 110V or 240V charger, so you can charge it at home by using a standard 110V or 240V outlet. However, if you decide to charge your vehicle from 110V outlet, it will take forever to charge the full battery, therefore it will cost you a buck.
If you don't have 240V outlet in your garage, you'd need one installed. Galaxy Services can help you with the 240V outlet for your EV charger. We can also advise you on the best chargers to use, and will install one for you. With a plug-in EV charging installation, we will install a 240V outlet also known as a NEMA 50 receptacle, at the desired EV charger location to plug into.
Some people prefer to have hard wired EV chargers installed outside of the house, so you don't have to park inside the garage, but simply pull over to the driveway and charge from there. With a hardwired EV charger, we will install a dedicated 60AMP line from your main electrical panel to the desired ev car charger location. For this installation, the EV charger does not utilize a 240V outlet since it is hardwired into your main panel.
